I’m currently Lead Writer on Violence Prevention at Apolitical, a policy platform covering innovative solutions to problems facing governments across the world. I work with the Global Partnership to End Violence Against Children, an inter-agency collaboration comprised of UNICEF, WHO, PAHO and others to eradicate violence against kids by 2030. I write features, case studies, profiles and longreads on everything from the murder epidemic in Central America to feminist self-defence classes in Nairobi.

I’m also a freelance journalist. I’ve worked in-house at the BBC, Wallpaper* and The Week, and freelanced for Newsweek, The Guardian, The Independent, i News, Prospect, Dazed, i-D, TANK, and others. In the summer of 2017, I was awarded the Peter Kirk Scholarship. I spent the summer reporting on political violence from the G20 “riots” to anti-fascism in Athens. I’m interested in power, violence and irregular conflict. My portfolio can be found here.

In a past life, I graduated from Oxford with a First Class Honours in English Literature and French and received a Distinction in the Intellectual History and Political Thought MPhil at Cambridge.
